Frankincense, Myrrh, and Gold: Were the Three Wise Men Onto Something?

The story of the Three Wise Men bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus is one of those things most people take at face value. But when you break it down, there’s something deeper happening here. These weren’t just symbolic gifts—they were functional, specific, and incredibly aligned with supporting consciousness at a biological level.

The Hypothalamus: Balance and the Feminine Principle

The hypothalamus, working with the pituitary gland, is the control center for homeostasis. It regulates everything from hormones and temperature to stress responses and emotional stability. But it’s also a major player in our ability to access higher states of awareness.

In mystic traditions, balance in the hypothalamus is key to receiving and integrating vast amounts of information—what some would call the Akashic field. If it’s dysregulated, everything falls apart. Disorientation, fragmentation, emotional chaos.

This is where frankincense and myrrh come in. Both have been shown to support the hypothalamus and nervous system. Frankincense has neuroprotective properties and enhances cognitive clarity, while myrrh is grounding and stabilizing. They create the biochemical conditions for balance, making it easier to process higher frequencies of information.

The Thalamus: Perception and the Masculine Principle

If the hypothalamus is about receiving, the thalamus is about organizing. It acts as the central hub for sensory data, working closely with the pineal gland to shape our perception of reality.

A strong, well-functioning thalamus allows for clarity and discernment. A dysregulated thalamus, on the other hand, leads to paranoia, aggression, and an inability to process information coherently. This is where gold comes in.

Gold, particularly in its monatomic or elemental form, has long been associated with enhancing conductivity—both electrically in the brain and energetically in the body. Ancient traditions considered it a key to longevity, higher intelligence, and even spiritual activation. Modern research suggests it may support neural communication, acting almost like a tuning fork for the brain.

Were the Three Wise Men Passing Down Esoteric Knowledge?

When you put it all together, it makes you wonder: were these three substances given to Jesus because they were known to enhance consciousness? If Jesus was an oracle, a teacher meant to shift human perception, it would make sense to support the very brain centers responsible for that kind of work.

The balance of feminine receptivity (hypothalamus) and masculine discernment (thalamus) is essential—not just for individual awakening, but for navigating reality with clarity. The Three Wise Men might not have just been bearing gifts. They could have been delivering a precise formula for consciousness itself.

And now, thousands of years later, science is catching up....
